“IN 2002, WE STARTED OUR BUSINESS WITH ONE TRUCK AND A DREAM”

Growing up on a farm in south central Kansas brought great life experiences and a strong work ethic to David Lawless. When the farm economy tightened, David worked a full-time job working in a truck every day delivering products. He was still farming full-time as well, while raising a family. He knew from his farming background as well as his previous employers that there was a real need for mobile truck services that truly were capable and could deliver a quality service and valuable product. After all, everything we consume was delivered on a truck.
In 2002, David and wife Peggy saw the vision and potential of a mobile maintenance and repair business so they started their business with one truck, a home office and a big dream. David’s operational background and Peggy’s accounting background were an asset at start-up.
After 12 years in the business, great growth, 2 moves and a lot of specialized training in the automotive industry, David and Peggy came to realize that it wasn’t enough to just start a business and work hard every day. They needed to have a business “toolbox” that covered every aspect of a business; from the trucks and mechanics, to the accounting, to the sales and marketing.
The business has been successful. Professional Fleet Services have a full staff that includes daughter, Caroline Walck, her husband Dustin Walck and a great team that includes administrative assistants, a superior service team as well as great technicians. The team can meet any challenges with enthusiasm and expertise.
Now with major support features, they can teach someone to start their business with some great “jump start tools”, grow the business and do it all profitably. They also want to be as environmentally friendly as possible. Because they did not want a franchise with continued fees, they chose to begin a dealership system that includes the software, production package, orientation, follow-up support, on-going training, all for the initial purchase price.
We know that every technician’s toolbox looks the same. It’s our customer service and fleet management programs that makes us a stand-out in the industry.
